Handmade in India

Inspired by a vintage silhouette and crafted with handloom fabric ~ a rare and exclusive sustainably handmade textile in modern times. This flowing oversized maxi length design features sparkling gold lurex and white detailing on a deep sapphire blue base, classic poet-style collar and optional tie, romantic billowy sleeves finished with soft elasticated cuffs, thigh high split on both sides and pockets at the hip.

Material ~ 100% Handloom Cotton.

The Poet Maxi is designed to be an oversized fit. If you prefer a more fitted style we recommend sizing down.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Our order of hand loomed fabric was distributed throughout an entire village in Southern India, roughly 100 homes worked on piecing the fabric for these garments together, providing employment and supporting the continuance of this tradition that holds an expected life-span of only 10-15 years. So comfortable yet classic

I recently wore my Nora Noir Maxi, to a 3 hour long theatre production, in hot and humid Sydney. Some people were more dressed up and some people were more dressed down, but I am sure that I was one of the most comfortable members of the audience!

Beautiful fabric! The slits are quite high on this dress

I returned this dress despite the beautiful fabric. Had intended to belt it but the slits are so high that belting it made the slits go as high as my crotch — then, it was more of a layering piece that I’d need to wear pants under….
