Handmade in India

The Prairie Dress in Sage has been hand block printed using a classic Indian Buti block print, Buti means single flower, printed in a divine pink hue against a sage backdrop.

Featuring puffed elastic sleeves with a small ruffle trim, buttons down the mid-line making this style ideal for breast-feeding, self waist tie, and pencil skirt tiered from the hips.

Material ~ 100% Cotton. Please be aware that due to the multi-layered block print process of this garment, the base layer of sage may still shine through some of the original white cotton, appearing like small white specks throughout. This is the beauty of hand block printed cotton in that each dress is unique and unalike any other. We hope this hand crafted style not only feels good on your skin but also in your heart.

Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Perfect!

This dress is amazing! I’ve purchased other Daughters of India dresses and bought small but because of the fitted-ness of this one, I decided to try a medium. So glad I did—I feel like it fits like it shows on the model. For reference, I’m 5’7” tall and normally a US size 6/8. The beautiful sage is perfect and cotton is nice and airy. I don’t find it sheer at all because there’s enough fabric in the skirting to gather and create fullness. This will be a go-to dress for summer…wish they’d make it in more colors and perhaps a sleeveless version and knee length! I may buy another and do some alterations just for that purpose I love it so much!!!

Favourite dress

Already have the autumn toned Prairie and had to get the sage green. It has a little khaki and pink in it so lots of accessory options. You can tie under the bust or at the waist - whatever suits you. The puff sleeves widen the shoulders making the waist look narrower making it very flattering. Please make more.
