Handmade in India

Inspired by a vintage silhouette, this elevated blouse has been crafted with handloom fabric ~ a rare and exclusive sustainably handmade textile in modern times. Featuring a flowing oversized blouse design with a classic poet-style collar and optional tie, romantic billowy sleeves finished with soft elasticated cuffs in a warm red-clay palette contrasted with classic off-white tones.

Material ~ 100% Handloom Cotton.

The Poet Blouse is designed to be an oversized fit. If you prefer a more fitted style we recommend sizing down.

Garment Care ~ Gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Ethically handmade with love in India, The Poet Series serves to support local traditions and the preservation of the ancient artistry of handloom weaving.

The only of its kind

Our order of hand loomed fabric was distributed throughout an entire village in Southern India, roughly 100 homes worked on piecing the fabric for these garments together, providing employment and supporting the continuance of this tradition that holds an expected life-span of only 10-15 years. The Poet Series styles are destined to become vintage due to the rare exclusivity of hand-loomed fabrics in modern times.

Such a beautiful top! The quality is amazing as always, especially the collar. Sizing worked well for me (I usually wear XS) and it was the right oversized fit. Hope to get the other colors!

Perfect for summer and fall!

The blouse is lovely. The fabric is soft and light weight, so while the top is voluminous it doesn’t feel that way. The neckline is perfect and I love the detailed seaming around the neck. I normally run between a small and a med- I could have gone either way with this. I haven’t washed it yet but I don’t think it will be an issue. I will definitely buy a dress during the next sale.
